Adolf Grob
Born in 1895.
Died in 1977.
Adolf Grob was an artist whose career spanned several disciplines. A sculptor and engineer, he spent twelve years in Egypt from 1910 onwards, during which time he developed a style centred on realistic portraits and grotesques. From 1958, he broadened his creative scope by also devoting himself to painting.
He was the father of Katja Guggenheim, adding a personal dimension to his artistic legacy. Details of his oeuvre and influence remain only partially documented.
