Adam Zeller
Born in 1500.
Died in 1523.
Adam Zeller was a painter whose activity is documented in Basel. His involvement in the city’s artistic life is underscored by his membership in the Himmelzunft, a guild that brought together artists and craftspeople. Although little detailed information about his work is available, his participation in this guild indicates recognition within the artistic community of his time.
Zeller thus represents a figure in Basel’s art at the beginning of the sixteenth century, a period marked by significant developments in artistic practices.
