Born in Paris in 1960, Marion Tivital lives and works in Vincennes. Her work focuses mainly on constructed landscapes, particularly industrial ones, to which she brings a melancholic poetry. She evokes the strength of forms, their quiet energy and the almost abstract structure of the motifs, whose “dark language” she wishes to listen to; oil is her primary medium.
Her exhibitions have taken her notably to Paris, Brussels, Lyon, Karlsruhe, Yvoire, Dieulefit, Lille, New York, San Francisco and Morgat. Artsper also lists “Respiration Inspiration”, presented at the 1831 Art Gallery from 19 May to 30 July 2022.
