Born in Stuttgart in 1901 and deceased in that city in 1963, Walter Wörn is cited in a biography of Wilhelm Adolf Geyer among the artist friends from his student years. The same source mentions him, together with Geyer and other artists, among the participants in the first major post-war group exhibitions held at Stuttgart’s exhibition institutions, which had then been temporarily put back into operation.
A 1948 drawing, Im Schwimmbad, is described as executed in pencil on paper, signed and dated at the lower right; its sight size is 34.5 × 36.5 cm, and it is presented framed.
This profile brings together identity references for Walter Wörn and paintings, drawings and works on paper documented in auction catalogues.
1 references are documented at Schuler. Each record links to its source; the amounts are not a general valuation of the artist’s work.
