An untitled work, dated around 1980, offers another insight into his practice: oil, gouache, pastel and collage are brought together on paper mounted on canvas, in a format of 56 × 61.5 cm. The work record notes a “Santomaso” signature at the lower right and another signature on the reverse. According to the same record, the work was acquired from Galerie Fröhlich on 12 January 1993 by a Swiss private collection.
