French pointillist painter Ludovic Vallée was born in Paris in 1864 under the name Joseph Louis Marie Vallée and died there in 1939.
Louise Hervieu describes a body of work in which pure colours divide and evokes the sun as “molten gold”. In her account, Vallée paints outdoors before the war, setting up his easel along the paths and amid verdant landscapes.
This profile brings together identity references for Ludovic Vallée and paintings, drawings and works on paper documented in auction catalogues.
6 references are documented at Dobiaschofsky. Each record links to its source; the amounts are not a general valuation of the artist’s work.
