A notice characterises his painting as having tendencies that were sometimes Impressionist and sometimes Synthetist. The diptych Matin de pardon and Soir de pardon, associated with his Synthetist vein, was purchased directly from the artist in 1907 and belongs to the collection of the City of Lorient. His work was presented at the Musée de Pont-Aven from 26 June to 27 September 1993, in an exhibition accompanied by the catalogue Jean Pégot-Ogier 1877-1915.
