Patrick von Kalckreuth was born in Kiel in 1898 and died in Starnberg in 1970. A landscape and marine painter, he worked in Düsseldorf and Berlin. His work is particularly associated with atmospheric evocations of the North Sea.
The titles “Das Luftschiff Graf Zeppelin über dem Atlantik” and “Morgendliche Brandung” bring out two motifs in his repertoire: the airship above the Atlantic and the movement of the sea in the morning.
This profile brings together identity references for Patrick von Kalckreuth and paintings, drawings and works on paper documented in auction catalogues.
13 references are documented at Dobiaschofsky, Schuler, Lempertz. Each record links to its source; the amounts are not a general valuation of the artist’s work.
